‘The Ultimate Surfer’: ABC Cancels Competition Series

Announced back in 2020, fans have been eagerly awaiting the latest news on the Disney+ adaptation of the beloved fantasy novels Percy Jackson and the Olympians. In a significant new update, it appears the upcoming series has found its Percy – The Adam Project star, Walker Scobell.

The sun has set on “Shahs of Sunset”. ET has learned the Bravo series will not return for its 10th season.

Mike Shouhed, Reza Farahan, Golonesa “GG” Gharachedaghi and Mercedes “MJ” Javid were some of the original cast members when the series premiered in March 2012 as it chronicled the lives of Persian Americans living the life of luxury in Beverly Hills and Tehrangeles, or Little Persia. The cancellation comes nearly two weeks after Shouhed was arrested in Los Angeles, California on March 27. He was booked in the early hours of March 28, before being released hours later on $50,000 bail, according to a booking sheet obtained by ET.However, a source tells ET, «Mike's situation has nothing to do with» the show ending.

Former Flip or Flop star Christina Hall is set to headline a second series for HGTV. The network has given a six-episode order to Christina in the Country (working title), a Tennessee-set spinoff docuseries of her Christina on the Coast. Additionally, HGTV has ordered additional episodes of Christina on the Coast which drew more than 23 million viewers and ranked as a top 5 non-news/sports cable program among key demos in its last season, per Nielsen.

Emily Longeretta Real estate and design expert Christina Hall, best known as co-host of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” and host of “Christina on the Coast,” is sharing her new adventures in her third series. The six-episode docuseries, “Christina in the Country,” is slated to air later this year and will follow Hall on her next chapter in life as she expands her design business across the country and puts down roots at a Tennessee farm.Used to living an active, outdoor lifestyle in Southern California, the designer will take a different step with her three children and new husband Josh Hall.

Kristina Schake, who has led the Biden administration’s Covid vaccination education efforts and previously served as communications director for First Lady Michelle Obama and later in a top role in Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, is joining The Walt Disney Co. as its lead spokesperson.

Kanye West has pulled out of his headline performance at this year’s Coachella festival, according to reports.The rapper and producer was scheduled to headline the closing night of the two-weekend event, which takes place April 15-17 and April 22-24, but according to TMZ and Variety this will no longer be the case.It’s not been made clear as to why West has cancelled his appearance at the California festival, but it’s also been reported that Travis Scott was set to perform alongside West, and he too will now no longer appear.NME has reached out to Coachella and representatives for West for comment.The news follows a petition that was launched by fans last month to remove West from the festival’s line-up, which currently has almost 50,000 signatures.The Change.org petition was launched on March 17 by a user with the alias Kim Pete, following West’s suspension on Instagram for his post about Trevor Noah which contained racial slurs.
