It has become the epicentre of one of the most bizarre election campaigns in recent history. George Galloway announced in late January he would be running as a candidate in the Rochdale by-election.
He packed his fedora, headed for Greater Manchester and found an unlikely place to set up base. The team at MK Automobiles usually welcome drivers looking for a new motor at the Suzuki and Subaru dealership, on Crawford Street.
With the by-election looming, Team Galloway arrived. The Workers Party of Britain campaign machine used one of the MK units on the industrial estate where the business is based.

During the campaign, Mr Galloway was interviewed by the Manchester Evening News inside the Suzuki showroom. Last night (Friday), for a victory rally, the business was the scene of both jubilation and indignation - as supporters cheered Rochdale's new MP and told reporters who challenged him to 'get out'.
Hundreds of people crammed inside to see Mr Galloway, watching as he was led from the offices into the main showroom, before being grilled by journalists.
He then stood on a stage to give a speech celebrating his success, telling his supporters those who challenged him were 'going to have to suck it up'.
As the dust settled and the Westminster spotlight beginning to fade, MK Automobiles was open as normal today (March 2). Bosses at the business are now keen for their activities to return to normal.
One told the M.E.N.: "We actually don't want to get into any more exposure. We just want to have a 'no comment' attitude and move on with our business."
