‘The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run’ Skips Theaters, Will Debut on VOD in 2021

Deadline on Wednesday reported that Zendaya and Washington between late June and early July filmed “Malcolm & Marie” based on a script by “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson.

Producers Scott Rudin, Barry Diller and David Geffen on Wednesday confirmed that their large-scale revival of Meredith Willson's The Music Man, which will star Jackman alongside another returning Broadway treasure, Sutton Foster, is now scheduled to begin previews April 7, 2021, at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Paramount and Nickelodeon's The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is bypassing a theatrical release and will instead debut on premium VOD in early 2021 before soaking up an exclusive spot on CBS All Access. The film had been set to hit the big screen on Aug.

The new SpongeBob movie has become the latest to skip theatres and head for the home cinema market.
