‘The Simpsons’ set to bring back major season one character

EXCLUSIVE: Jamie Campbell Bower – you know him best for his work as the Stranger Things’ villain Vecna – will star for director Chuck Russell in a new version of the ‘80s fright franchise Witchboard. Russell and Greg McKay wrote the script and are producing with Kade Vu and Bernie Gewissler, in an A-Nation Media production. The film shoots in May in Montreal and New Orleans.

Amber Dowling Netflix, APTN and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation have commissioned a new comedy series created and written by Inuit television writer-producer Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Inuit filmmaker Alethea Arnaquq-Baril. The untitled project will film in Nunavut and revolves around a young Inuk mother who wants to build a new future for herself. The problem? It won’t be easy in her small Arctic town where everyone knows everybody else’s business. MacDonald and Arnaquq-Baril also serve as executive producers on the series under their Red Marrow Media banner alongside Miranda de Pencier (“Anne With an E”) of Northwood Entertainment, Susan Coyne (“Daisy Jones & The Six”) and Garry Campbell (“The Kids in the Hall”).

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” has been renewed for Season 3 while “Star Trek: Lower Decks” has been renewed for Season 5 at Paramount+. The new seasons of both shows will consist of 10 episodes. In addition, Season 2 of “Strange New Worlds” and Season 4 of “Lower Decks” will both debut this summer. “Strange New Worlds” Season 2 will premiere on June 15 on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. New episodes will then drop weekly thereafter. “Lower Decks” will return in late summer, but an exact date has yet to be announced. Finally, Season 2 of the Nickelodeon animated series “Star Trek: Prodigy” is set to air this coming winter. Season 1 of that show originally launched in late 2021, with the second half of the season airing in late 2022.

Universal Television is developing a series adaptation of Diane Marie Brown’s debut novel Black Candle Women with Jenna Bush Hager, who has a first-look deal with Universal Studio Group, under her production banner Thousand Voices. Hager is teaming with Bel-Air showrunner Carla Banks Waddles and Good Girls creator Jenna Bans, both of whom have overall deals with UTV, for the project.

Shooting is set to start on May 8 in the Piedmontese Alps on “Fireworks,” which is being produced by Domenico Procacci’s Fandango and Rome shingle Matrioska. Fandango, who is the show’s lead producer, is in advanced talks with Italian state broadcaster RAI to come on board. Fandango is also talking up the six-episode limited series at the Series Mania confab in Lille, France, where they are seeking prospective international partners.

French Montana is reportedly being sued for negligence over a shooting incident during the filming of a music video in January that left 10 injured.Rolling Stone reports that a lawsuit against the rapper was filed on Monday (March 20) for USD $50,000 by alleged shooting victim Carl Leon. Leon was reportedly injured in the shooting, claiming that he suffered “great bodily injury, pain, mental anguish, and the loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life”.The lawsuit also named Montana’s Coke Boys Records, The Licking (the restaurant where the shooting occured), and property owner Gayles Plaza as defendants alongside Montana.“All Defendants failed to properly plan and conduct the music video production in a safe manner.

The Simpsons have called out a plot inconsistency following the return of character Jacques in the show’s 34th season.On Sunday’s episode (March 19) titled Pin Gal, Marge takes bowling lessons once again from French bowling instructor Jacques (voiced by Albert Brooks) – who previously tried to start an affair with her back in season one episode Life On The Fast Lane.In the episode, Homer has no knowledge of Marge and Jacques’ history.
