‘Mind-blowing’ fact may explain truth about ‘The Simpsons’ characters

The Simpsons has been around for an impressive 35 seasons, which means many of us have grown up on the much-loved American cartoon. Despite spending many afternoons binge-watching the show, there is one little detail that some fans have only just started to wonder. Why in 35 years have any of the main characters not aged? The fact was recently brought up by Facebook user, Peace Matters, who asked the question in one of his well-known reels. “So THIS is why they don’t age?! SIMPSONS RUINED,” he wrote, adding the caption: “It took me 27 years to realise THIS about The Simpsons.”As it turns out – or maybe just a whack theory put forward by the mega fan – there is a reasonable explanation for why Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and every other character on The Simpsons, don’t age and it can be found in an episode that aired back in season four of the long-running animation.

‘The Simpsons’ seems to have predicted the ‘Willy Wonka Experience’ fiasco

The Simpsons has once again appeared to have predicted a current-day event – this time in the recent ‘Willy Wonka Experience’ fiasco in Glasgow. The Wonka-themed chocolate “experience” in Glasgow had been branded “awful” by furious parents and forced to shut just hours after opening.Dubbed as ‘Willy’s Chocolate Experience’, the event advertised “a celebration of sweetness and imagination”, inspired by the hit movie Wonka and the Roald Dahl book that inspired it.Tickets cost £35 and promised audio and visual effects, dancing Oompa-Loompas and chocolate fountains, but delivered little more than a barely-decorated warehouse with a smattering of plastic candy canes and a small bouncy castle. Now, fans of The Simpsons have noticed the similarity between the ill-fated event and an episode from season five, ‘Bart’s Inner Child’ when Homer explains to Marge that he plans to open a play park for children in the family’s back garden.Homer dreams of charging $50 to enter ‘Homerland’ which features ‘Trampoline World’ (one trampoline per hour children), ‘Mudville USA’ which is just a large puddle and ‘Fort Adventure’ – which turns out to be a pile of dirty mattresses.Check out the eerie similarities here:The Simpsons did it again

Easily offended sensibilities and hand-wringing over every pop culture moment seem to characterize the times we’re living in, but such battles have been brewing for centuries. In his new book, “Outrageous: A History of Showbiz and Culture Wars,” Kliph Nesteroff looks at nearly 200 years of controversies to help us understand the present moment. In this excerpt, he looks back at the hysteria around “The Simpsons” and “Beavis and Butthead.”By 1991, Fox had enough credibility to land the broadcast rights to the Emmys. That year, the category for Outstanding Writing in a Variety or Music Program was presented by comedian Gilbert Gottfried.

Lisa Simpson murders classic character in new Treehouse Of Horror episode

The Simpsons, which sees Lisa murder one of the show’s long-running characters. The moment took place in the latest Halloween special of the animated series – called Treehouse Of Horror XXXIV –which aired on Sunday (November 5).In the episode, a segment is featured called ‘Ei8ht’, which is set in an alternate universe where Sideshow Bob has finally fulfilled his dream of killing Bart – leading to Lisa becoming a true crime specialist.Brought in to help the police track down a serial killer who has been targeting first-born children across Springfield, she goes to Sideshow Bob for assistance. However, in an unexpected twist, it is revealed that it is Lisa herself who is the killer and has been on her murderous rampage in a bid to get close to Bob and carry out her revenge. The plot twist in the episode came as a surprise to viewers, with many anticipating that if Sideshow Bob were to be killed off, it would have eventually been carried out by Bart. This comes as the character – voiced by Frasier star Kelsey Grammer – has been a long-running nemesis of the 10-year-old, and has been on a quest to murder him since Season One.Although the character of Sideshow Bob meets his gruesome demise in the latest Treehouse Of Horror, the death isn’t permanent as the Halloween episodes are set in an alternate universe – meaning he is still alive and well in the main Simpsons universe.Elsewhere in the episode, Kylie Jenner makes a guest appearance in one storyline, helping Marge venture into the metaverse to save Bart, who has been turned into an NFT.

beloved animated series’ longest-running gags. “Times have changed,” Homer Simpson announces to wife Marge in Episode 3 of the current batch, referencing the portly patriarch’s penchant for strangling son Bart.Making its debut on Fox in late 1989, cartoonist Matt Groening’s groundbreaking show was controversial from the start — partly for the reoccuring scenes where a rage-filled Homer works out his frustration over Bart’s behavior by squeezing him tightly around the neck, causing the boy’s eyes to bulge out. Finally, in the recent episode, titled “McMansion & Wife,” the rotund — and apparently, reformed — lead character announces he’s moved on from the torturous tactic during a tête-à-tête with a new neighbor named Thayer, The Independent reported. When Homer goes to shake hands with Thayer, the man comments on his firm grip.

However, after noticing that the food is burnt, he sneaks out the window to buy some Krusty burgers, which Chalmers refers to as steamed hams. The mashup in question simply replaces the scene’s audio with memorable Peep Show quotes from main characters Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb). From “Four naans, Jeremy? That’s insane” to “That’s not Nigella, that’s not even Ainsley, mate”, the quotes almost perfectly tie up with the events in the scene.

the Hawaii wildfires.Tinfoil-hatted social media denizens detailed this outlandish allegation of life imitating art on social media amid the wildfire disaster in Lahaina, Maui, which has claimed over 114 lives since Aug. 8.Conspiracy theorists had posted snippets from a 2016 episode of the Matt Groening series, titled “Monty Burns’ Fleeing Circus,” which depicted a beam of light incinerating the town of Springfield. They claim that this was evidence of the unfounded conspiracy circulating social media that claims the Maui wildfires were caused by “directed energy weapons” in order to advance the globalist climate-change agenda. One TikToker uploaded pics of blue umbrellas that were left miraculously intact in the inferno’s aftermath, which he linked to the blue tarp shrouding a similarly untouched statue in the episode.Needless to say, this theory was particularly tenuous given that in the episode, which was not set in Hawaii, the inferno was caused by the unveiling of the aforementioned metal statue and not a state-sponsored death ray.

Hank Azaria opens up about voicing ‘dehumanizing’ Apu on ‘The Simpsons’

NPR’s podcast “Code Switch.” Apu is a recurring Indian-American character in the show who runs the Kwik-E-Mart convenience store, which often keeps him from his wife and eight children. Azaria was first publicly called out in 2017 when comedian Hari Kondabolu, 40, who’s of Indian descent, expressed his anger over the character and Hollywood’s decades-long depictions of South Asians in the documentary “The Problem with Apu.” Azaria, who no longer voices Apu, and Kondabolu finally sat down and had their first public conversation to address the controversy in a podcast episode titled “The Fallout of a Callout.”Kondabolu described Azaria’s voicing of Apu as “a white guy doing an impression of a white guy making fun of my father.”“If I saw Hank Azaria do that voice at a party, I would kick the s–t out of him,” he said.
