‘The Simpsons’ has been re-imagined as a hellish British sitcom

Zhao, who was born in China, is the first woman from an ethnically diverse background to win the Academy Award for directing, and the second woman in history, after Kathryn Bigelow's triumph 11 years ago for The Hurt Locker.

Oscars while British talent swept up several major awards. Anthony Hopkins was named best actor for his role in The Father as an elderly man dealing with memory loss while Daniel Kaluuya won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his Black Panther movie Judas and the Black Messiah.

The 2021 Academy Awards are due to take place on Sunday night, and there is a strong showing of British talent among the nominees. From Vanessa Kirby in Pieces Of A Woman to Daniel Kaluuya in a Judas And The Black Messiah, a number of British actors and creators have been recognised for their work this year, and could also make history.

London Grammar have scored the fastest-selling album of 2021 by a British act so far with their third album ‘California Soil’.The record has landed at the top spot on the Official UK Albums Chart today (April 23) after its release last week (April 16).The album secured over 31,000 chart sales in the last seven days, outselling the rest of the top five combined.

Morrissey was apparently quite upset over the parody of him on The Simpsons over the weekend.

The Simpsons recently struck a chord with former Smiths frontman Morrissey, whose manager Peter Katsis chewed out the long-running Fox animation show for “trying to capitalize on cheap controversy and expounding on vicious rumors.”
