There are several money saving challenges making the rounds on social media right now that are designed to help people save money in ways that suit them.
Challenges are often popular through January and could see you make an extra few hundred pounds by the end of the year.
These include the 1p challenge, now popular with people across the country, will see you amass £667.95 by the end of the 12 months if you stick with it for the year.
For those with a bit more cash to spare, the £5 challenge could leave you almost £7,000 richer by 2025.
But one technique, called the 12-month challenge, could see those taking part save £780 by the end of the year.
Savers begin with £10 and gradually increase each month. For example, you’ll save £10 in the first month (January), £20 in the second month (February) and £30 in the third month (March) and so on. If you stick to the challenge. The total amount saved could be £780 by the start of 2025.
