Phil Spencer has broken his silence after both of his parents died together in a car crash last month. The 53 year old Location, Location, Location star - who stars alongside Kirstie Allsopp on the show - took to Instagram on Thursday, September 14, almost a week after the funeral of his beloved parents.
His father, Richard, 89, and mum Anne, 82, tragically died on Friday, August 18, when the car they were travelling crashed into a shallow tributary river that runs through their farming estate in Kent. In a heartfelt post shared to Instagram, Phil posted two snaps, one of his mother and one of his father, as he thanked the public for their outpouring of support after his parents' death.
He also spoke about the "immense shock and sadness" at their deaths but said that he and his family "accept" what happened, as for his parents to go "side by side" is a "beautiful thing". His full post read: "When we buried Mum and Dad on Friday, and celebrated their lives with a Memorial service on Saturday, we had many Thank yous to say to our community in Kent, but I wanted to say a very large thank you beyond that, for the dozens of bunches of flowers, hundreds of letters and cards, and thousands of kind and thoughtful messages I’ve received over the last few weeks.
