The series was created by Cloverfield mastermind J. J. Abrams, and ran from September 2001 to May of 2006.
The story centered around Sydney Bristow, a double agent for the CIA posing as an operative for SD-6, a global criminal and espionage group.

Abrams’ Bad Robot, Powell’s Barnstorm Productions, Zipper Bros Films and Dolphin Entertainment produced the project. “This fascinating and layered documentary is wholly representative of the kind of work ethic, teamwork, and perseverance that goes into being a Blue Angel,” said Brianna Oh, Amazon’s head of documentary features. “We are incredibly honored to join this talented filmmaking team in bringing their story to audiences around the world.”
