Richard Madeley has joked Piers Morgan is ‘the master’ of Good Morning Britain after the ITV show hit a ratings low. Richard is currently taking the place of Piers on GMB after the controversial host dramatically quit the show back in March, but during a segment on Friday morning, Richard admitted that Piers ‘hadn’t quite left the building’ in terms of the series’ success.

Richard Madeley caused quite the stir on Thursday's instalment of Good Morning Britain when he told Cat Deeley's that her presenting gig on ITV's Lorraine was "awful". Just like 65 year old Richard, Cat is filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her daytime talk show while she enjoys some time off.

Richard Madeley certainly had viewers talking as he returned for a guest presenting gig on Good Morning Britain on Thursday. The 65 year old discussed serious topics such as the coronavirus vaccine and the government's traffic light system with his co-host Charlotte Hawkins, but viewers couldn't help but compare him to comedy icon Alan Partridge.

Richard Madeley appeared to reveal a snippet of new information about Piers Morgan's Good Morning Britain exit as he guest-hosted the ITV show alongside Charlotte Hawkins on Thursday. The 65 year old alluded that Piers had plans to leave the breakfast programme for a period of two months before his shocking exit back in March.

Gary Numan will be the next artist to join The Record Club with Bowers & Wilkins, where he will discuss his 22nd studio album Intruder.

Richard Madeley has said he is ready to step into Piers Morgan's old role at Good Morning Britain and thinks that the show "suits" him.The former This Morning host has been a stand-in presenter for Piers in the past, but now that the seat alongside Susanna Reid is permanently available, he says he thinks he could be the perfect fit. Although the 65-year-old has been named as the bookies' favourite to take over the job, he says he hasn't been asked yet - but is open to offers.
