Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have spent the past few weeks settling into life in Canada. After their bombshell announcement last month that they will be stepping back from royal life, the couple likely wants to take a break—and a breath—from all the attention.

Britain's reports that Queen Elizabeth II has requested that the Sussexes join the rest of the royal family for the Commonwealth Service for Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey in London next month. The service is set to take place on March 9. 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved to Canada after dropping a huge bombshell at the beginning of January. Since then, a floodgate of opportunities has opened up for the couple who revealed that they plan to work to become financially independent. While many celebs had novel job openings for Meghan and Harry, the couple have not taken up any. The newest offer comes from pop star Madonna who shared a video on her Instagram on Tuesday, asking Meghan and Harry to instead consider US.

Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family for Canada earlier this month, fans wondered how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s reacted to the Queen stripping them of their royal titles. Well, according to TMZ, the couple was “shocked”—not at them losing their HRH status but at the Queen discontinuing them as Commonwealth Youth Ambassadors.

The 93-year-old monarch made the announcement on Saturday that the Duke of Cambridge will take upon this new role. 

Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have officially lost their royal HRH titles — and the accompanying public payment for their royal duties — it seems all but inevitable they’ll soon begin spending the bulk of their time in North America. Frogmore Cottage, the historic Grade II-listed residence upon which they lavished $2.4 million in renovations, will remain their part-time UK residence, but Markle has made no secret of her desire to raise son Archie overseas.
