We love Greater Manchester how it is - but it's not exactly famous for sunny weather.
In fact, pretty much all of the north west spends a lot of its time covered by clouds or hit with rain.
So it won't come as a surprise to learn that not one Greater Manchester borough has been named by researchers among the UK's sunniest places to live during the winter months.

What might raise a few eyebrows, though, is that one of the towns flying high in the list sits just on the other side of Wigan.
St Helens has been named the third most 'naturally happy' town in the UK, based on the total number of sunlight hours it sees over the winter period.
Researchers at Beds Divans analysed over 425 UK weather stations to find which area in the UK is scientifically the 'happiest', Dorset Live reports.
Chichester is named the most naturally happy place in the UK, with the city seeing 232 hours of predicted sunlight this winter.
But St Helens is not far behind in third place, with 227 hours of predicted sunlight this winter.
It's not such good news for Rochdale though, which is the only Greater Manchester town named in the top 10 list for being 'naturally unhappy'.
That is based on Rochdale having the third-least amount of winter sunlight hours, at a predicted 125.
Bradford was crowned the most naturally unhappy place in the UK, with the city only getting a predicted 110 hours of sunlight in winter.
The study also found that the south east was the most naturally happy region based on winter sunlight, while Yorkshire and both the east and west midlands see the least.
