Mazin finally sounded off on the casting rumors during a recent interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. “I actually never talked to Mahershala,” Mazin said before confirming that talks with McConaughey did in fact take place. On Wednesday, June 14th critically acclaimed and former Game Of The Year Award winner The Last Of Us celebrated its 10-year anniversary. As well as being a hit game, The Last Of Us is also an ongoing TV series thanks to HBO Max. With the celebration, many fans were hoping there would also be some kind of announcement.
