The news that Dundee may have to play Motherwell away from Dens Park on Saturday raises the question of where it would be shifted to - and the same goes to their rearranged clash with Rangers days later.
The Dens Park club have been quick to stress that no decision has been made over their upcoming Premiership clash with the Steelmen on Saturday April 6, with fears mounting that a postponement could lead to fixture chaos as both clubs battle with Hibs for the final top six spot. The Dark Blues have already seen four matches called off this season due to waterlogged pitch and are now subject to an SPFL investigation.
The most recent postponement caused controversy, as Rangers made a wasted trip to the City of Discovery prior to the international break. Philippe Clement's side were denied the chance to reclaim top spot in the table when their clash with Tony Docherty's side was called off on the morning of the match. That is due to be replayed on Wednesday April 10 and could have major ramifications in the title race with Celtic as well as the top six race.
The hope is that the weather holds up and both games can be played at Dens as planned, which is the expectation of Dee chiefs. If not, however, then the obvious venue that springs to mind is across the street at Tannadice. Promotion chasing Dundee United are away at Hampden to face Queen's Park this weekend, and aren't at home again until April 20, meaning there is no fixture clash.
