Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, appeared to take a subtle swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as she appeared on US TV to promote her upcoming romance novel, A Most Intriguing Lady. During an interview with Fox 5 New York presenter Rosanna Scotto, the Duchess, who is commonly know as Fergie, discussed the importance of "family unity." Rosanna asked: "Do you think [King Charles] is upset with the book that Harry wrote? I know that reports that Harry and Meghan are invited to the Coronation and he must as a parent feel a little scarred by what was said in the book." To which Fergie replied: "Personally, I feel there should be no judgement on any level.

King Charles has officially given the title of Duke of Edinburgh to his youngest brother, Prince Edward. The announcement was made in a statement on the royal family's website Thursday to coincide with Edward's birthday, which is Friday. "His Majesty The King has been pleased to confer the Dukedom of Edinburgh upon The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Forfar, on the occasion of His Royal Highness’s 59th birthday," the statement began.

Prince Edward has been granted the title of Duke of Edinburgh by King Charles - honouring the wishes of the late Queen and Prince Philip. Edward and wife Sophie were made Earl and Countess of Wessex when they married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in June, 1999. After Edward received his new title on his 59th birthday on Friday, Sophie became the Duchess of Edinburgh - while their 15-year-old son James, Viscount Severn became the new Earl of Wessex.
