Emerald Fennell and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have officially met!
The 36-year-old actress, who played Camilla on The Crown in seasons three and four, met the future Queen Consort during an International Women’s Day reception held at Clarence House on Tuesday (March 8) in London, England.
After their meeting at the special event, Emerald spoke with journalist Georgie Prodromou and said that “it was particularly nice to meet her today on International Women’s Day because, you know, she does so much for so many particularly female charities.”
She then joked that she was a bit nervous that “I might be thrown in the Tower — but so far, so good.”
Camilla also spoke about meeting Emerald during her speech at the event.
“For me, it’s very reassuring to know that if I should fall off my perch at any moment, my fictional alter ego is here to take over,” she laughed. “So, Emerald — be prepared!”
It’s still unclear if Camilla has seen any bit of The Crown. Although some other royal family members have.
