Stoke City have been languishing in the Championship for four years now, having been relegated from the Premier League in 2018 following 10 straight seasons at that level. The Potters have struggled to make an impact in the second tier since they dropped back, with all four seasons being mid-table finishes and multiple managers have tried and failed to get them towards the play-offs. Michael O’Neill’s time in charge came to an end last month, and coming in in his place was Alex Neil, who is already getting to grips with his squad and has recorded a thumping victory over Hull City.

Huddersfield Town are a club with plenty of history behind them, having won the old First Division title three times and then gone on to break back into the top flight under David Wagner to have their first crack at the Premier League. The Terriers have upset the odds time and time again and did so again in the last campaign. Despite many tipping them to be relegation candidates, the side flew up the standings and ended the season in third.

Blackburn Rovers have had a positive enough start to proceedings in the Championship and under Jon Dahl Tomasson. The men from Ewood Park sit third in the league table after quickly adapting to life under their new manager, and fans will once again be hoping that this is the season where they achieve their return to the Premier League after several campaigns of ultimately frustrating by falling short of the playoffs. Among those supporters who may be eyeing promotion back to the top-flight for Rovers are a number of famous faces, too.
