It’s perhaps slightly difficult to review, “The Babysitter: Killer Club,” if your trajectory towards the film is like this reviewer’s: being told, and reading through reviews, that the original, “The Babysitter,” was a surprise Halloween treat from Netflix in 2017, retroactively viewing it and discovering that’s not at all the case.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen might very well be the worst thing I've watched in 2020, and I sat through the State of the Union Address.Gory horror-comedies with half-baked plots can actually be quite entertaining if they are at least well-shot and well-written. This sequel to the borderline-decent 2017 Netflix original The Babysitter is neither of these things.
