The Apprentice star Lottie Lion has opened up about her scary health battle after she collapsed on holiday.
The 24-year-old, who appeared on the BBC show back in 2019, was just starting her holiday in Australia when she suddenly fainted and had to be rushed to hospital. At the hospital, doctors found out that she has Wolff Parkinson-White, a rare heart condition that makes her heart beat super fast. Instead of the normal 60 to 100 beats per minute, Lottie's heart was racing at over 200 beats per minute.
Usually, this condition can be treated, but Lottie also has an abnormal heart rhythm, which makes things more complicated. Now, doctors have told her that she can't fly back to the UK and needs to stay in Australia. She'll be taking medication for three months before having another heart operation.
If the operation doesn't work, Lottie could be at risk of a heart attack or stroke. Speaking to The Sun from Sydney, she shared: "I was on a walk and felt extremely dizzy and was having heart palpitations.
The next thing I knew I woke up in an ambulance." Lottie is known for her confidence, appearing in front of Lord Alan Sugar at just 19 years old, famously once saying: "I bring 'class' to everything and ensure nothing I do is half-standard or tacky." The former contestant was introduced as a librarian and her business plan was for a private members club in the countryside. Even though she made it to the final five, she wasn't picked as the show's winner.
