The celebrated Lowry Hotel is offering a pretty remarkable ‘limitless afternoon tea’ for March 27. Book in a two-hour slot for £35 per adult (and £15 for children), and it’s unlimited cakes, sandwiches, deserts, scones and live entertainment. There’s pork and wild mushroom sausage rolls, and sandwiches including poached Loch Duart salmon with horseradish crème fraiche, baked ham with piccalilli and oak smoked cheese, and sweets-wise, there are lemon and ginger choux craqualin and a raspberry & white chocolate and pistachio gateaux.
