Television Academy and CBS Renew 2-Year Deal for Daytime Emmys

Daytime Emmy Award nominees have been announced! On Thursday, CBS and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences revealed the nominations for the 50th annual awards show ahead of the June 16 ceremony at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.Among the many shows honored at this year's ceremony, leads the pack with a whopping 19 nominations, while fellow soaps, and follow close behind with 14, 13 and 11 nominations, respectively.On the daytime talk show front, is nominated for an impressive 11 awards — including a nomination for Clarkson herself. Additionally, Entertainment Tonight is nominated for two awards.The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, and legal-courtroom programs.Here is full list of nominees: Popstar! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle headed out on a basketball date night on Monday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for date night to cheer on the Los Angeles Lakers Monday night amid King Charles III’s coronation plans. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all smiles during the Lakers versus Memphis Grizzlies playoff game at Crypto.com Arena.  While Markle, 41, donned a two-piece pink blazer and matching shorts ensemble, Prince Harry, 38, sported a dark-colored jacket with a casual white t-shirt underneath, black jeans and white sneakers. In several of the sports snaps, Markle appeared to be whispering and giggling in Prince Harry’s ear.

Lionsgate has landed rights to the film, which will be written and directed by Ansari. The comedian, who is also starring in “Good Fortune,” has assembled the high-wattage cast of Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves. Since the logline is being kept under wraps, it’s unclear who the actors are playing in the movie. The production has been greenlit and will start principal photography next month in Los Angeles. The actor tells me he underwent hip replacement surgery not long after he and Jennifer Aniston wrapped the follow-up to their original “Murder Mystery” comedy. “My god damn hip, I had to change that at the end of the movie,” Sandler told me Tuesday at the film’s premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles. “I had been doing so many movies in a row. I did ’Spaceman’ and I was hanging in harness all the time. I kept saying, ‘Something’s going on with my hip, man. I’m in trouble.’ And then during this and this other movie I did I was like, ‘Yeah, I definitely gotta x-ray that thing,’ and we were in trouble.”
