The first episode thrilled fans when it returned to our TV screens last night – Saturday, 28 October. For anyone unaware of the show or its concept, be warned... it's not for the faint-hearted.
Its official synopsis reads: "A group of contestants are stranded in a remote location with little more than the clothes on their back." Aside from providing their own food, water, fire and shelter, the castaways must also complete challenges where they're able to win rewards, plus immunity from the eliminations. Of course, it's not all for nothing, as the last-standing survivor will receive the title of 'Ultimate Survivor' - but more importantly, a hefty cash prize. Over the years, there have been some unbelievable pillow-in-front-of-the-face moments, from full on law breaking to pretty severe injuries.
