In fact there have been no price changes in this week's comparison at all, which will be welcome news to shoppers who have faced relentless hikes during the cost of living crisis.
Sainsbury's position perhaps comes as no surprise to some customers as we've previously reported its bid to take on the budget retailer - with CEO Simon Roberts sharing his vision for it to become 'as cheap as Aldi' and admitting he was prepared to accept a fall in profits in the short term in order to ensure it stayed competitive for shoppers.
The Stamford Street range - which is named after Sainsbury's former home in London's Blackfriars and incorporates favourite staples from the original ranges such as J. James and Mary Ann's - consists of around 200 products, which are being rolled out between now and autumn.
