‘Succession’ Cast Reveals What’s Most At Stake Following The Season 4 Premiere (Exclusive)

Catherine Bray Set mostly in England, back before it was officially called England — and centuries before Great Britain was so much as a glint in the eye of James I — director Ed Bazalgette’s workmanlike historical epic “The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die” wraps up the events of “The Last Kingdom,” the Netfix drama series based on Bernard Cornwell’s “Saxon Tales” novels. Playing like “Game of Thrones” with more history and fewer dragons, the film opens with several smaller kingdoms, including Northumbria, Mercia and East Anglia, gearing up for a power struggle exacerbated by the recent death of Alfred the Great, king of Wessex, and worsened by the surreptitious attempts of the Danes to sow discord.

Determined to bring life back to the aging network, he decides to audition his executive assistant, Kerry Castellabate (Zoe Winters), for an on-air anchor role, much to the chagrin of Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) and Cyd Peach (Jeannie Berlin).Unfortunately for Kerry, who is a formidable assistant, her audition lands with laughs around the newsroom.

Netflix has announced that a Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World anime is on the way.The streaming service made the announcement today (March 30).

The adventures of Scott Pilgrim will be continue in an animated series for Netflix, 13 years after ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ was first released in theatres.

Scott Pilgrim will be back, and in computer-generated living color: Netflix has picked up an anime series about the beloved slacker-musician from the classic graphic novels, which was made into a 2010 film that starred Michael Cera.

The show, which was first reported as being in development at Netflix in January 2022, has officially been ordered to series. The returning cast members are: Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau). Succession star Kieran Culkin has shared his unusual method to help Brian Cox calm down on set when he got grumpy.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Kieran Culkin said in a new Esquire digital cover story that Jeremy Strong’s acting process was never affected by various criticisms made about his Method acting, most notably by his “Succession” cast members in an infamous New Yorker profile published in December 2021. “It’s hard for me to actually describe his process, because I don’t really see it,” Culkin told The New Yorker at the time. “He puts himself in a bubble….The way Jeremy put it to me is that, like, you get in the ring, you do the scene, and at the end each actor goes to their corner. I’m, like, This isn’t a battle. This is a dance.” Regarding Strong’s self-isolation process, Culkin added, “That might be something that helps him. I can tell you that it doesn’t help me.”
