These stunning photos show that Scotland’s Mountain Rescue Teams never stop training.
The images were taken during a water rescue refresher for the Tayside team.
The group spent one day at Loch Faskally near Pitlochry with the second day at Craighall Gorge.
The members practised rope rescues, abseiling and working in fast flowing white water.
Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area.
A wide variety of professions can be found in the Team and all are skilled and experienced mountaineers.
Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
They have 50 volunteers with a plethora of skills – such as remote medical expertise, technical rigging, swiftwater rescue and search management.
They have serving police officers, teachers, managers and engineers as well as outdoor professionals working for them.
They also have a number of Search & Rescue Dog handlers who, as well as doing this job are often called to assist other Scottish mountain rescue and police teams.
