Strictly's Tyler West reveals hospital dash was for family member as he reassures fans

Strictly Come Dancing's Tyler West has reassured fans after he posted a worrying photo showing a trip to A&E.The DJ, who is set to appear in this year’s Strictly as a celebrity contestant, shared a photo to Instagram on Tuesday 17 July which seemed to show him sitting in a waiting room. Over the image, he included the caption: “Everything's cool, but wanna shout out the NHS [blue heart emoji] especially the paramedic and A&E team.
"We are truly blessed with all the hard work they do, they really don't get enough credit.Thank you." At the time, he didn’t explain the context of the image, but he’s since reassured fans that he’s fine and it was a family member who needed medical attention. Posting a video to his Instagram story, Tyler said: “Quick message to say thank you for all the DMs and stuff… “Everything’s all A-OK.
It wasn’t me, it’s family stuff. But thank you all for checking in.” The DJ was the seventh contestant to be announced to take part in the star-studded line-up for Strictly this year.
Speaking about his feelings towards appearing on the show and being "out of his comfort zone", he said: "I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family! "As I started writing this I already got cramp. It’s going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be SO far outside my comfort zone." “It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins," he continued.
