Ellie Leach has revealed she still speaks to Vito Coppola "every day" despite Strictly Come Dancing ending months ago.
The actress detailed her close bond with her dance partner during an interview on Good Morning Britain, as she addressed romance rumours. Ellie, 23, appeared on the ITV show on Tuesday, 19 March to discuss her return to acting with hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid.
The former Coronation Street star revealed she still contacts Strictly pro Vito, 31, every single day, as Ed quizzed her over the nature of their close friendship - which had sparked romance speculation on several occasions.
"We all believed there was a love interest?" Ed said. Ellie laughed off his comment, saying: "I think that when you dance with someone you are practically together 24/7 and we are just the best of friends.
I am so lucky that I got him as my dance partner. We just really understood each other." She added: "He was even more emotional than me, especially on the final.
I was like: 'You've been spending too much time with me now'." Susanna then asked: "Is it true you speak to Vito every single day?" with Ellie adding: "Yeah I speak to Vito every single day since September." The Strictly winner also revealed she keeps the Glitterball trophy in the kitchen of her family home. She admitted her dad offers a selfie with the trophy to anyone who visits the home.
Throughout their time on Strictly, Ellie and Vito were constantly rumoured to be dating due to their close bond. However, Ellie is reported to be in a relationship with fellow Strictly competitor Bobby Brazier, 20 - though neither has confirmed as much.
The pair were spotted looking cosy on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour at the start of the year, and have since been spotted
