Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden took to social media to make an emotional promise as she paid tribute to her friend who passed away after battling breast cancer.
Amy, 33, was supported by influencer Nicky Newman after she received her own cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
Five and a half years ago cancer campaigner Nicky was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, which had also spread to her bones.
The Strictly professional, who has been documenting her own cancer journey after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, shared her friend’s farewell post along with an emotional promise to her.
Nicky, who was known as NickNackLou on social media, had penned her message to followers to be used on her page after she passed away.
The message read: "If you’re reading this it means I have died. So please promise me to cherish those around you and give your friends and loved ones the biggest squeezes! GO GRAB LIFE! You never truly know what is coming around the corner - so don’t take anything for granted."
Amy reshared the post on her own page and thanked Nick for being a true inspiration.
She penned: "The most beautiful ray of sunshine who has done so much and created a community and legacy that will live on. I hope you know all the help and awareness you have done and will always continue to do so. I remember when I found out I needed a port, your page I turned to."
She continued: "I will forever hold onto your lovely voice notes and will always think of you when I say Welsh Love. Thank you for being utterly incredible and a true inspiration," before she heartbreakingly added: "I promise to grab life and deeply miss your radiance and positivity."
