Supporters have urged Manchester United to 'stop the interview process' amid reports they have already held first talks with Erik ten Hag over the managerial position at Old Trafford.
Manchester Evening News revealed last week that Ajx boss Ten Hag has been identified as a preferred candidate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a permanent basis. According to Mail Online that interest has been ramped up even further and the Dutchman was interviewed for the role on Monday.
The report suggests United are also keen to speak with Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui, who has steered Sevilla to second-place in La Liga this season. Ajax would not stand in Ten Hag's way if United offered the job, but the Eredivisie side would require around £4million in compensation, it has been claimed.

Having guided United to a second-place finish last term, Solskjaer was sacked in November after his position in the hot-seat became untenable. Ralf Rangnick stepped into the breach as interim manager and, as things stand, is set to move upstairs into an advisory role at the end of this campaign.
Appointed by Ajax in 2017, the highly-rated Ten Hag has emerged as a leading candidate for the role after winning two Eredivisie titles and three domestic cups for the Amsterdam giants. He also led them to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019 and the last 16 of this year's competition.
Responding to reports of his interview, United supporters continue, generally, to favour Ten Hag for the job, although others suggest Pochettino is the right man. Here are a selection of comments taken from social media platform Twitter:
