Two new 'big screens' are being installed in Stockport town centre.
The giant LED screens are being put up at Redrock and in Merseyway later this summer, and amongst other things will be used to screen live sport events and films.
The council is in discussions with the firm installing the screens to create 'fan zones' for large sporting events including Wimbledon and the Olympics, as well as interactive gaming tournaments.
