Steve Carell to Star in FX Limited Series ‘The Patient’ From ‘The Americans’ Duo Joel Fields, Joe Weisberg

Following “The Book of Boba Fett” and “The Mandalorian” season three, which just announced it had started production, the Lucasfilm series, “Ahsoka” is expected to be the next big “Star Wars” TV show to go into production. Announced by Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy last December, the new Disney+ show will follow Ahsoka Tano (first introduced in live-action during “The Mandalorian” season two as played by Rosario Dawson).

Veep alum Timothy Simons is set to star opposite Jessica Biel in Hulu’s original limited event series Candy, based on the true story of Candy Montgomery (Biel), who killed her friend Betty Gore (Melanie Lynskey) with an ax.

The Americans creative duo Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields are back with their next project for FX. The network has given a 10-episode order to The Patient, a half-hour limited series from Fields, Weisberg and FX Productions, with Steve Carell set to star and executive produce.
