The New York Post reports that the local authorities have yet to apprehend the assailant, and are still on the search for Buscemi’s attacker.Buscemi’s publicist told the New York Post that the actor is “ok” but sustained a swollen left eye and face, and was taken to a hospital for treatment shortly after the incident: “He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes, though incredibly sad for everyone that this has happened to while also walking the streets of New York.”A witness – a worker in the area who asked only to be named as Nat – said in a statement to the New York Post: “I saw he was with a woman, and then through the corner of the window I saw him trip and fall backwards.
