Spain could relax its Covid travel rules 'within days' for unvaccinated travellers.
The country has been welcoming back UK travellers but has yet to ease all travel restrictions, meaning holidaymakers have needed to be vaccinated or show proof of Covid recovery.
Those who aren't fully vaccinated have been unable to travel to Spain - but the rules are set to change.
Spain's Industry, Commerce and Tourism minster, Reyes Maroto, has said that the rules will be relaxed 'within days' for unvaccinated travellers from non-EU destinations, The Mirror reports.
She told local radio station Onda Cero that unvaccinated travellers will still be required to have a negative Covid test in order to enter the holiday hotspot.
Spain Covid travel rules were originally set to last until May 15. However, this was extended until June 15.
The news will no doubt come as a huge holiday boost for Brits, as Spain has long been a firm favourite for UK holidaymakers.
Spain travel advice also usually encompasses the Canary Islands and Balearics.
However, before booking or planning a trip you should always check the latest Foreign Office advice, as this can change quickly due to the nature of the pandemic.
