Gorka Marquez has issued a public apology to his fiancé Gemma Atkinson whilst addressing his absence from his family over the weekend. The Strictly Come Dancing star, 32, has shared that he had to take some time away from his wife-to-be after she gave birth to their second child last month.
The Hits Radio presenter and Strictly star welcomed their son Thiago into the world in July and have since been keeping their followers up to date on life as a family of four with their first daughter Mia, 4. Gorka took to his Instagram on Sunday as he told fans to 'ask away' as he shared a question box.
Amongst the queries, one of his 818,000 followers asked 'Why weren't you with Gemma and the children this weekend?' as the dancer responded 'I was working away'. The dad-of-two also sent a public apology to his partner after the FIFA Women's World Cup final.

Also in his Q&A, Gorka was asked "who did Mia support today," as the dancer from Spain shared the Spanish flag and wrote "sorry," as he tagged Gemma. One fan also asked: "How do you keep being so fit with your busy family and professional life?," to which he replied: "I think it's all down to organisation and structure."
It comes as Gorka has been spending time between London and the couple's Bury home as he trains for the next series of the BBC dance competition which is set to air this September. It has not yet been revealed who the professional dancer will be paired with on the upcoming season.
