Sony’s Affirm Originals Sets ‘A Thousand Tomorrows’ Series Deal With Author Karen Kingsbury

Paramount+ has dropped a sneak peek of Sylvester Stallone as a New York mafia capo in the upcoming series “Tulsa King.” The 75-year-old actor is set to star as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi in the new show from “Yellowstone,” “Mayor of Kingstown” and “1883” creator Taylor Sheridan. While an official release date has not been announced, the first episode is expected to drop in the fall of 2022. The streaming platform shared the photo on social media, showing Stallone standing in the middle of a city street in a dark suit and looking off into the distance.

Jenny Han’s other best-selling YA trilogy is heading to Amazon Prime Video this June.“The Summer I Turned Pretty,” a new teen drama series based on Han’s novel of the same name, will premiere on Prime Video June 17, it announced Thursday. The news comes days following the news that Han has inked an exclusive development deal with the streamer.The series stars Lola Tung as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, an ordinary teenage girl who spends the summer in Cousin’s Beach with her mother Laurel (Jackie Chung) and older brother Steven (Sean Kaufman).

Davidson serves as a writer and executive producer on the show in addition to starring. The half-hour comedy is described as a heightened, fictionalized version of Davidson’s real life.

Naman Ramachandran Amazon Prime Video India has teamed with filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Rohit Shetty Picturez for original series “Indian Police Force,” headlined by Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra.The series, which is in production now, “proudly pays an ode to the selfless service, unconditional commitment and fierce patriotism of our police officers across the country who put everything on the line in their call of duty to keep us safe,” according to a statement from Amazon India, adding that it “aims to set a new bar for action content emerging from India for audiences worldwide.”Shetty is known for his Singham cop franchise, the latest of which, “Sooryavanshi,” starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, was one of the biggest Bollywood box office hits of 2021. Malhotra’s last film, war film “Shershaah,” bowed directly on Amazon and was one of the highest watched films on the service in 2021.

The Mythic Quest team will be one key member short, with F. Murray Abraham leaving the series before it returns for season 3.

A new mobile game adaptation, “Exploding Kittens – The Game,” is being co-developed and will launch via the streamer in May, well ahead of the TV show’s planned 2023 debut.The show, which is executive produced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, follows the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell as it reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth – in the bodies of chunky house cats.Along with Ellis and Liu, “Exploding Kittens” stars Abraham Lim (“Clickbait,” “The Boys”), Ally Maki (“Wrecked,” “Toy Story 4”), Mark Proksch (“What We Do In The Shadows,” “Better Call Saul”) and Sasheer Zamata (“Woke,” “Home Economics”).
