There’s a whole lot of shuffling going on at Sony Pictures with their release slate. The new release dates are the result of the current coronavirus outbreak.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (Columbia Pictures) has been moved to March 5, 2021 from its original July 10 release date while the Sony/Marvel pic Morbius (Columbia Pictures) starring Jared Leto as a vampire will now be released on March 19, 2021 as opposed to its July 31 debut.

First, the bad news: Marvel is making some adjustments to their Phase 4 slate due to theater closures amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Which means we’re going to have to wait a little longer to see Black Widow and Thor and Doctor Strange on the big screen.

Bosses at Sony Pictures have bumped the release of several movies from their summer schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sony Pictures announced Monday that it is postponing its big summer releases to 2021. The studio announced it is rescheduling the releases of Jason Reitman's “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” and the Marvel movie “Morbius” to 2021 as theaters across the world remain closed while people avoid large gatherings to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
Sony has delayed a string of major film releases, including the latest instalment in the Ghostbusters franchise and superhero movie Morbius.
