Scots Sons of Anarchy star Tommy Flanagan knows a thing or two about where to get a decent bite to eat in Glasgow.
The iconic actor originally hails from Easterhouse, so it’s no surprise he was keen to head for some tasty food in his home city when he got back for a visit.
Tommy Flanagan, who played Filip ‘Chibs’ Telford in the hit FX crime drama which aired from 2014 - 2018, was snapped enjoying a meal at the Amber Regent in the city centre.
The family-owned business is a favourite of many Glaswegians and has welcomed its fair share of well-kept names in the past - including the equally as legendary Samuel L. Jackson.
But they were still delighted to see a homegrown star make his way to theirs for some dinner. Braveheart actor Tommy, who lives in Malibu, visited the Amber Regent over the weekend as staff took to social media to say: “Sons of Anarchy star Tommy Flanagan rolled into town for a bite to eat at the weekend. Of course, he chose to dine at Amber Regent! An absolute gent and as cool as they come."
Tommy made his debut in Braveheart and was in a slew of movies throughout the 1990s before hitting the big time with SOA in the noughties.
His trademark scars for the iconic role of Chibs didn't need any handy work of a make-up artist as Tommy previously explained on Michael Rosenbaum's "Inside Of You" podcast that his scars are real and he got them while working as a DJ in Glasgow. He'd been approached by some people who he agreed to meet out the back of a club.
"I went to a knife fight without a knife," Flanagan explained, "and I wound up looking like this, and they put holes in me."
