So You Think You Can Dance is finally returning to TV following a three-year absence and there will be a completely new judging panel!
Panelists Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and Laurieann Gibson were previously set to return for season 17 in 2020, but the season was scrapped because of the pandemic.
Fox finally announced last month that So You Think You Can Dance will return in summer 2022 for a new season, which will premiere on Wednesday, May 18 at 9pm ET after the season finale of The Masked Singer.
The host of the season has also been confirmed!

The series is executive-produced by co-creator Nigel Lythgoe, Jeff Thacker, Rosie Seitchik, Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman on behalf of 19 Entertainment. Seitchik also will serve as showrunner. The long-delayed season will debut on Wednesday, May 18 9:00-10:00 p.m.
