‘SNL’: Daniel Kaluuya Sets Stage For First Appearance As Host In New Promo, Encouraging Viewers To “Put Down The Books” And Tune In

Daniel Kaluuya is currently having a dream run at the awards season as the talented actor has swept the Best Actor in Supporting Role category across major awards held this year. For his role as Fred Hampton in Judas and the Black Messiah, Daniel was nominated and won almost all major awards.

Daniel Kaluuya won the Best Supporting Actor prize for his part in Judas and the Black Messiah at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday night, continuing his award season clean sweep. Judas and the Black Messiah follows the rise and fall of Black Panther activist Fred Hampton (played by Kaluuya).

The 21st Annual Black Reel Awards took place today with Warner Bros’ rousing drama, Judas and the Black Messiah, taking the marquee Outstanding Film award. In addition, stars Daniel Kaluuya and Dominique Fishback were bestowed with the Outstanding Supporting Actor and  Outstanding Supporting Actress award, respectively. Producers Charles King, Ryan Coogler, and Shaka King become the first all-African American team to win Outstanding Picture.

Oscar chances following his BAFTA win for Judas and the Black Messiah. The Marvel star took home the award for Best Supporting Actor at the ceremony on Sunday night (April 11) for his role as US activist Fred Hampton, an accolade he also secured at last month's Golden Globes.
