Just a little over a month after its initial theater release, Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated third feature film “Nope” will me made available to purchase digitally this Friday. The official social media accounts for the Universal film publicized the news this week, announcing that the movie will hit digital services on demand (such as Amazon and Apple) on Aug. 26. Although its price isn’t listed yet, it can be assumed that it’ll cost around $30 considering the price of other buzzy digital releases such as “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “The Rise of Gru.” The UFO thriller stars Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya as sibling, OJ and Emerald, who discover signs of alien life — namely a giant undulating flying saucer — on their horse ranch and attempt to photograph their ominous encounters in order to sell them and get rich. In order to catch the phantom spaceship on film, they call on the analog cinematographer Antlers Holst played by Michael Wincott. All the action is told through Peele’s racially conscious lens, focusing on the siblings’ hesitancy to tell authorities about their findings because of their general mistrust of mainstream white society.

Keke Palmer praises ‘comfortable’ friendship with Nope co-star Daniel Kaluuya after breaking the ice: ‘We hung out for hours’
supports HTML5 videoIf there’s one takeaway from Jordan Peele’s new movie Nope, it’s that Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya make one heck of a perfect sibling duo. The two star in Peele’s new horror sci-fi epic as brother and sister OJ (Kaluuya) and Emerald (Palmer) who own a California horse ranch and discover an otherworldly phenomenon taking over the skies. Their chemistry lights up the screen as though they’ve been friends for years, but even Keke, 28, admits she and Daniel, 33, had to dance around getting to know each other before becoming besties. Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the London premiere of Nope, the actress explained: ‘We spent a lot of time in rehearsals and when we first met we hung out and then just broke the ice, then we just became cool. ‘We’re together for so many days of the week and hours that you just get so comfortable with each other so I think that’s what comes through on film.’ Keke has earned rave reviews for her performance in the film, with Esmerelda quite literally bursting onto screens with a bang. With the Lightyear star equally vivacious in real life, it’s easy to draw parallels between the two and it’s no coincidence as Keke used her days as an aspiring actress to bring the character to life. ‘I think with Emerald’s performative personality I really pulled from elements of myself but obviously Emerald’s a little haphazard and all over the place,’ she said on the red carpet. ‘But I just pulled from an aspect of myself that I maybe if I never really got to the place that I’m in as a performer of just imagining how to get myself out there.’ It comes after the Akeelah and the Bee star was forced to respond to a viral tweet that compared her success to Zendaya’s. Nope star Brandon Perea totally

Nope,” and the internet had some thoughts about his take.“‘NOPE’ is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time,” Paul started off his thread of 13 tweets about the movie.“I love Jordan Peele and Keke Palmer can act her ass off, but this movie is objectively slow and confusing with stretched themes that don’t justify the pace (a thread).”The 27-year-old YouTube star went on to say that a disturbing concept in the plot “was done remarkably poor here” and listed 10 questions that contained spoilers.Paul continued to say the storyline was “all over the place” and that Daniel Kaluuya was cast as a “mundane, vanilla character.”“But my thesis is this: I can feel him attempting to recreate the shock from ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us.’ Mystery, violent allure & cinematic choices made for the sake of reaction instead of legitimate contribution to the storyline killed this movie for me,” he wrote in the final tweet of the thread.Fans of the movie couldn’t miss the irony of Paul’s reaction to the movie, which has an underlying theme of society’s obsession with screens and social media.logan paul missing the point of nope pic.twitter.com/xLuWzzSuJY“Logan Paul not understand ‘Nope’ is so funny when the film is literally about people like him,” one person tweeted. “So you’re telling me the movie’s very clear commentary on spectacle (and the lengths people will go to capture it) was totally missed by Logan Paul, the guy that vlogged himself and his friends laughing at a dead body in the Aokigahara forest in Japan.
