Sleaford Mods have announced that they will release new album ‘UK Grim’ in March. Its first single and title track is out now.“Maybe we are proud of the country”, says vocalist Jason Williamson of the ideas behind his lyrics on the record.
“Maybe we are proud to be English. Maybe I’m proud of the horrible grey streets and the shit weather and the stupid fashions I find myself investing in.
It’s just that the English we’re proud of being is absolutely nothing like the English the authorities want to try and promote”.The album sees the duo collaborate with Dry Cleaning’s Florence Shaw on the track ‘Force 10 From Navarone’, as well as Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro from Jane’s Addiction on ‘So Trendy’.‘UK Grim’ will be released on 10 Mar, with two launch shows set to take place the following week. Chief Productions Sets Kashmiri Beekeeping Doc ‘Pot of Gold’Chief Productions, the UK-based indie, today announced the production of a new documentary titled Pot of Gold in partnership with global humanitarian relief and development charity Human Appeal. The film marks the first fully foreign film to be shot in the mountainous region of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. The film follows beekeeper Shakeel Khan who has committed his life to learn about the nature of bees and their delicate work. However, his story takes a turn following the impact of the most destructive earthquake the region has ever seen. The film is produced by Billy Offland and directed by Olivier Richomme. Colin Offland is Exec Producer, and Alan Hamilton is the writer. Colin Offland, CEO and executive producer at Chief Productions described the story as “poignant and distinctive.” He said: “It has been an eye-opening and fulfilling experience to be welcomed as the first fully foreign production team in Kashmir, and we’re grateful for the team at Human Appeal for allowing us to bring this story to the screen.”

Three years on from their last album, ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’, Enter Shikari have announced that they will return with new LP ‘A Kiss For The Whole World’ this spring.The album, says frontman Rou Reynold, sees the band invigorated after he found himself unable to make music during the period of inactivity brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.“At the time it felt like we ourselves, as musicians, were experiencing the death of our band”, he says. “I just didn’t realise that the human and physical connection to other people were so central to how I write”.“Honestly, I thought I was fucked”, he goes on.
