Gwendlyn is reacting to the Season 17 finale episode that aired on TLC in January - which may be the series finale since the show hasn't been officially renewed or canceled yet, revealing that Utah police were ready to arrest Kody before he moved the massive family to Las Vegas in 2011.
'Police were actually coming to our door when I was a kid and being like, ‘You have to leave,"' Gwendlyn revealed in the video. She added that Utah law enforcement were overly critical of his polygamous lifestyle and once said, 'We’re gonna take your dad to prison. 'Gwendlyn added that, 'Utah seems, like, really weird to me,' though she acknowledged the move from Utah to Las Vegas was even more weird.
'Choosing Las Vegas in my opinion, as a fundamentalist Mormon family, was such a weird decision,' Gwendlyn said. 'It’s Las Vegas. It’s Sin City.
It’s so wild,' Brown, a student at Northern Arizona University, said on her program. She also admitted that, 'Mormon community in Las Vegas is evil. They’re scary.
And they’re so entitled. ''I felt like I wasn’t Mormon enough for them. It was a terrible experience.
Las Vegas, such a weird choice to make,' she added. Gwendlyn is the second oldest child of Kody and Christine Brown, with Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 24, Ysabel, 19 and Truley, 13. Christine and Kody split in 2021 after 27 years together, with Janelle splitting with Kody in 2022 and Meri in 2023, with Kody still married to Robyn, who he married in 2010.
