Sir Rod, 77, posted a video of the moment to Instagram, where he can be seen wearing a hi-vis vest and tracksuit bottoms as he works as part of a team shovelling gravel into the road.
Speaking in the video while shovelling gravel, Rod noted there had been several incidents on the road, while also quipping: “My Ferrari can’t go through here at all!” “This is the state of the road near where I live in Harlow and it’s been like this for ages,” he said.
