Irish singer Sinead O’Connor has vowed she will never perform again following the tragic death of her son, Shane, earlier this year. The 55 year old Nothing Compares 2 U singer revealed her son "decided to end his earthly struggle" at age 17 on Friday 7 January in a series of heartbreaking tweets. She has now taken to the social media platform again to reveal she doesn’t plan to perform again following the family tragedy.
Heartbroken Sinead wrote: “Just to say, suggestions there’ll be any performances this year or next year or ever again are erroneous. There will never be anything to sing about again. #DropsMike.” She accompanied the post with a moving video that shared some lyrics of Davy Spillane’s Caoineadh cu Chulainn. It read: “Aye, Laddie, Are ye goin’ now? Will you stay awhile, kin of my faint and flickering heart, and spend a moment more with me.” It went on: “Would you tell me once more of Eilean Donan….of who raised her up and who brought her down.
“And speak of the castle by the walk where we dallied on the bench that day. Just a heartbeat more. “Yes I know.Time has been clipped and you are set free.
But for just a moment would you sing of Coaincadh cu Chulainn. Sing like Davey. Capture my longing and now that I too wish to return to my home." Fans took to the post to share their well wishes to the star.
One wrote: “Just take care of yourself” While a second penned: “Grief is a process without parameters. The video is one of the most moving I’ve seen on the emotion.” While a third simply shared a broken red heart emoji and a blue heart emoji. a hair too far.Social media socialite Cathair Curran, better known as Kegs thanks to his 111,000 TikTok followers and 225 million viral video views, is giving up sex, smoking, swimming and more after undergoing a new, cutting-edge hair transplant procedure in an attempt to regrow his diminishing mane. “For the first 30 days [after the transplant], you’re not allowed to drink alcohol, smoke, exercise, go in the pool or sea — or have sex,” Kegs, 24, explained to Kennedy News and Media. He underwent the restoration procedure with Now Hair Time in Turkey on Feb. 6.Kegs — from Loughmacrory, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland — began experiencing the loss of his locks at age 19. As a kid, he was bullied for having a “really big forehead.”The internet influencer initially tried covering up the perceived imperfection with his hair, which he ultimately overpacked with products that, in turn, promoted permanent damage. And over the last five years, he’s implemented a number of unmaintainable hair recovery and replacements systems in an attempt to conceal his early onset baldness. “I’ve done three things in the past — the spray paint, a hair system then the hair transplant,” said Kegs.Wearing spray-on hair, however, made him feel “really self-conscious,” especially on rainy days or during waterside outings. “You have to use products to make sure it’s covering everywhere and you’d get really self-conscious if it was raining,” he said of the faux-hair substance, which might have washed off of his head if it got wet.

In his review of the film, TheWrap’s Steve Pond wrote “‘Nothing Compares’ is a movie that is both timely and curiously out of time. It’s a potent film that explores the roots of the brilliant but troubled Irish singer, who’s been back in the news recently with the suicide of her teenage son and her own hospitalization, but it also turns her recent years into an afterthought, bypassing many of the highs and lows that led her here over the last two decades.”“Nothing Compares” is produced by Eleanor Emptage and Michael Mallie for Tara Films (UK) and Ard Mhacha Productions (Ireland), and presented by Field of Vision.
