In her last public statement on Facebook, O’Connor on July 11 told fans she recently moved back to London after 23 years and was “very happy to be home.” She added that she was finishing a new album expected to be released next year and planning a world tour, including stops in the U.S.
and Europe, and Australia. O’Connor erupted onto the music scene with her debut album, “The Lion and the Cobra,” in 1987 at the age of 20.
