An Ohio cosplayer pleaded guilty Wednesday to planting a bomb at a perceived romantic rival’s house in Maryland, which nearly killed the recipient and caused more than $45,000 in damage to the home. U.S. Senate candidates J.D. Vance and Tim Ryan participated in a heated debate in Cleveland on Monday night, with both candidates accusing each other of being party loyalists.

Ohio Democrats and Rep.Tim Ryan, D-OH., told NBC News that Ryan was running "all by his lonesome" in the state's Senate race and that working with D.C. Democrats was "like pulling teeth."  "The national Democrats… trying to talk them into a working-class candidate, it’s like pulling teeth sometimes," Ryan told NBC News after a campaign event in Cleveland. "We’re in Ohio and we got a candidate running around with a tinfoil hat on.

Multiple cars from a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed on a bridge near an Ohio Amtrak station on Saturday afternoon.
