Sheridan Smith's 'jewellery stolen from trailer of new drama by gang of thieves'

Sheridan Smith has been targeted by a gang of thieves on the set of her latest drama.The actress, 40 is believed to be 'very upset' after all of her jewellery was stolen from her trailer on set of Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything. Thieves took off with Sheridan's bracelets, rings and necklaces in the robbery. The Gavin and Stacey actress was reportedly targeted by a gang known as The Movie Takers, who have carried out other raids and robbery's on major TV and film productions.

A source told the publication: "This was a very upsetting incident and everyone involved is shocked — but Sheridan is understandably very hurt. "Fortunately, it wasn’t hugely expensive items, more day-to-day things, but she had left them in her trailer for safety while filming in character and came back to find the place had been turned over. "It’s absolutely disgraceful that these people would do this." A Met Police spokesman said: "The offence happened at about 11.50pm on May 5.
Items of jewellery were stolen from trailers in Surbiton. "There have been no arrests, inquiries continue." Sheridan's new Sky sitcom is set to hit TV screens this winter. Playing the lead role, Rosie, the show will mark the return to comedy for the actress who is most known for her appearances in Gavin and Stacey, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and The Royle Family.
