First impressions count, and landing a new job is so much easier when you look - and feel - the part.
That’s the idea behind SHEIN’s new capsule ‘Curve’ collection, celebrating its long-term commitment to empower women in the workplace with trailblazing charity, Dress For Success Greater London. Expertly curated by top fashion editor and stylist Jill Wanless, the dedicated 23-piece collection features chic dresses, smart blazers, jumpsuits, tailored trousers and blouses in a wearable colour palette of berry, navy blue, black and cream.
Thoughtfully designed to flatter curvy women who struggle finding a smart, modern work wardrobe, refreshingly each piece is available in sizes 16-24.
Explaining the pioneering work of Dress For Success, Fionnuala Shannon, the charity’s executive director, says: “We empower women to economic independence by providing pre-employment training, confidence building and free styling sessions and wardrobe to assist them in being successful at gaining employment.” On being referred to Dress For Success, women receive a one-to-one styling session and free, high quality clothing to help them feel more confident and boost their self-esteem. They then take part in a session with a volunteer interview coach, enabling them to perfect their interview techniques, ready to face the real thing.
Amazingly, 80 per cent of their clients go on to secure employment. SHEIN has helped more than 400 women through the partnership, donating more than 1,000 pieces of clothing to date, enabling the charity to support even more disadvantaged women to improve their career prospects and achieve financial independence.
