Another week, another international film gets the English-language remake treatment. This is a trend, to be fair, that has been going on for decades in Hollywood, but in 2021, as international cinema becomes easier for folks to find on streaming services, the idea of an English-language remake of a really good, recent foreign-language film seems, well, unnecessary.
