Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi has revealed that she is taking weekly shots for weight loss.
Earlier this week, the 41-year-old Shahs of Sunset alum revealed that she on week four of taking semaglutide shots – one of the generic brands for Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro – to lose weight and that it was prescribed to her by a doctor.
For those unaware, the use of Ozempic for weight loss has caused a shortage that has resulted in a shortage for diabetes patients who actually need the medication.

“Unfortunately, because of my health, I had to get a lot of steroids injections last year, which caused me to really pack on some weight,” GG explained in a video shared on Instagram. “I’ve been having a very, very, very hard time getting rid of that weight.”
GG went on to explain that she was prescribed the medication from her doctor, New York-based Tabasum Mir. The medication was first prescribed for people with Type 2 diabetes, and now Wegovy has also been approved for weight loss.
“I did what all the people are doing, and lying about. I’m on the weight-loss shots, honey, okay?” GG said. “I’m just not gonna lie about it, because I always keep it real about what is fake.”
GG said that she was 137lbs before she started using the drug – which targets areas of the brain to make people feel full faster – and as of February 28, she is down to 126lbs.
“I have never, ever in my life been over 121-22lbs. other than being pregnant,” GG said. So that may not seem like a lot to some people, but for me, it really is.”
